Washington, DC (October 26, 2018) — Men’s Health Network has issued the following statement in response to the announcement by the Department of Health and Human Services regarding changes to the Medicare Part B program:
“Protecting access to life-saving therapies and treatment options for patients must remain a priority in healthcare reform. Unfortunately, the recently announced proposal seeks to alter drug reimbursements for physicians and insert bureaucratic middlemen into the treatment process. These harmful proposed changes to Medicare Part B value price cuts over patient needs, and restrict access to a range of medicines and therapies. We believe the Administration’s proposal may negatively affect patients reliant on Part B and prevent physicians from providing patients with the quality care they deserve.”
