Congressional Men’s Health Caucus to Hold Briefing on Latest USPSTF Prostate Cancer Screening Guidelines

Men’s Health Network in collaboration with the Congressional Men’s Health Caucus and the Prostate Cancer Task Force will hold the “USPSTF Explains the Prostate Cancer Screening Guidelines New Guidelines are Final – What do they Mean?” briefing on Thursday, May 17 at 2253 Rayburn House Office Building from 12:00 noon to 1:15 p.m.

The briefing comes just a week after the U.S. Preventative Services Task Force (USPSTF) issued new guidelines urging men to talk to their healthcare providers about when, or if, they need to be screened for prostate cancer using the prostate-specific antigen (PSA) screening test. The Task Force is a government supported panel composed of national medical experts whose recommendations influence healthcare providers and both public and private insurance coverage decisions.

RSVP is encouraged, but not required. Please contact Damien Christian at Briefing@menshealthnetwork.org or 202-543-6461 x 101 for more information or to RSVP.
